A Manhattan cocktail is made with whiskey, sweet vermouth and bitters. Typically, rye is the traditional whiskey of choice in a Manhattan but some mixologists prefer using Canadian whisky, bourbon, blended whiskey or Tennessee whiskey. Generally, the cocktail is stirred then strained into a cocktail glass and garnished with a twist of orange zest or Maraschino cherry.
It is thought that the Manhattan cocktail originated at the Manhattan Club in New York City in the early 1870s. However as there are prior references to various similar cocktail recipes called "Manhattan" in the 1860s, the exact history is uncertain.View recipe

The Planter′s Punch cocktail is an International Bartenders Association Official Cocktail with dark rum, juices, grenadine, sugar syrup, and Angostura bitters. It is said that the cocktail originated at the Planters Hotel in Charleston, South Carolina. The recipe for a Planter′s Punch was listed in the September 1878 issue of the London magazine Fun, and today many variations of this early recipe exist.
A Bellini cocktail is a combination of Prosecco and peach puree that originates in Venice, Italy. It is thought that the Bellini was first created sometime between 1934 and 1948 by a Giuseppe Cipriani, who was the founder of Harry′s Bar in Venice. The drink got its name from the unique pink colour that is said to have reminded him of the toga worn by a saint in a painting by 15th-century Venetian artist Giovanni Bellini.
An official IBA cocktail, the Bellini is a popular drink served around the world and was originally made using pureed white peaches. The pink hue was obtained by adding a small amount of raspberry or cherry juice. Today various recipes exist for a Bellini, including those that replace pureed peaches with peach nectar or peach schnapps – especially when the fresh peach is out of season.
