The Americano is an International Bartenders Association official cocktail containing Campari, sweet vermouth and club soda. It is thought that the cocktail was first served in the 1860s in creator Gaspare Campari′s bar, Caffè Campari. An interesting fact: it was the first drink ordered by James Bond in Ian Fleming′s Casino Royale.

  • 50ml Campari
  • 50ml Sweet Red Vermouth
  • Splash of Soda Water
  • Ice
  • Orange

How to make

  1. Pour the Campari and vermouth in a glass over ice
  2. Add a splash of soda water and garnish with a wedge of orange
