Eggnog is also known as milk punch and is a rich and creamy sweetened cocktail that is traditionally made with cream, sugar, egg and spirits. Many recipes exist, and the alcohol varies from brandy, rum, whisky to bourbon and it can be drunk hot or cold.

In the USA and Canada, Eggnog is a traditional drink that is consumed during the Christmas period and can be purchased in grocery stores already prepared. However, it is often homemade, using age-old family recipes; here is just one of many variations.

Coronation View cocktail Recipe

This recipe for a Coronation cocktail originates from Harry Craddock’s The Savoy Cocktail Book. Using dry and nutty fino sherry, cherry flavoured maraschino liqueur and dry vermouth, it is finished off with orange bitters and garnished with a piece of orange zest. Aromatic and warming, a delicious cocktail.
