The Caipirinha is Brazil′s national cocktail that is made with cachaça, sugarcane hard liquor, sugar and lime. Cachaça is Brazil′s most common distilled alcoholic beverage and can be sourced from around the world. The cocktail is made by muddling the fruit and the sugar together, and then adding the cachaça.

Ingredients

  • ½ lime - quartered
  • 1 teaspoon caster sugar
  • 70ml cachaça
  • Ice

How to make

  1. In a large glass squeeze and drop in the lime
  2. Add the sugar and then gently muddle the limes
  3. Add the ice and pour the cachaça over the ice and stir
