A Bijou is a cocktail made with gin, vermouth and chartreuse. It is thought to have been invented by Harry Johnson, writer of the Modern Bartender′s Manual -1900. The cocktail is called Bijou (French for jewel) because it combines the colours of three jewels; gin for diamond, vermouth for ruby and chartreuse for emerald.
The Queen’s Cocktail is similar to a Perfect Martini, but with the addition of pineapple juice.
The fresh basil leaves give the Gin Atomic Cocktail a distinctive yet very pleasant flavour. The addition of basil, better known for its savoury uses, adds a real summery aroma and vibe to this drink.
