Vesper cocktail

The Vesper is an International Bartenders Association Official Cocktail and was invented and named by Ian Fleming in the 1953 James Bond novel Casino Royale. It originally contained gin, vodka, and Kina Lillet, which is no longer produced.

Ingredients

  • 60ml London dry gin
  • 20ml vodka
  • 10ml Lillet Blanc French aperitif wine or Cocchi Americano
  • Strip of lemon zest - to garnish
  • Ice

How to make

  1. Shake the ingredients together over ice until well chilled
  2. Strain into a cocktail glass
  3. Garnish with a strip of lemon peel
